Our customer-specific system solutions are not limited by design or installation space, even particularly flat or space-saving solutions are also conceivable. In particular, the front unit, which serves as the user interface and thus as a human-machine interface, can be customized far beyond the multi-touch function in PCAP technology that we offer. Sealed glass apertures for individual function or system buttons and front-side connections are just as possible as company-specific glass printing or special surface coatings for anti-reflective coating. Extended operation via our industrial keypads is also possible – which is still the most convenient input option, especially for longer texts. A combination with our membrane keypads on the housing or integrated into the glass surface is also possible.

Touch systems for industrial use

In industry, the term touch system refers to touchscreen-based control and input systems that are integrated into machines and systems. These touch systems for use in industry enable intuitive operation of devices and processes and are used in various areas such as production, logistics and plant monitoring.

Our customized touch system solutions are not limited by design or installation space, so that even particularly flat or space-saving solutions are conceivable. Touch panel as a system solution from Printec-DS

For the construction of touch systems as industrial PCs or as control units for particularly harsh environments, we rely on a combination of different input technologies and manufacturing in Germany. We offer an application-optimized system solution for all customer-specific configurable individual components inside the housing, starting with a continuous and frameless front surface made of tempered glass, through a sealed, flush metal frame made of anodized aluminium, to an individual housing rear panel:

  • Glass production, glass processing and glass printing
  • Laminating capacitive multi-touch sensors on glass
  • Sizes from 7" up to any display size
  • System solutions incl. display and calculator (batch size 1 possible)
  • Complete assembly and quality assurance

Design structure of our touch panel system solutions

Touch integration is achieved by attaching a sensor to the back of a front glass panel. This means that operation does not take place on the sensor itself, but on a wear-resistant and smartphone-like glass operating surface (PCAP technology) - even when wearing gloves. In contrast to a design with front foils as a protective surface for the touch unit, the tempered glass processed by us can be used up to a thickness of 20 mm and therefore offers a clear robustness advantage. The customer-specific production of housings or cover plates is carried out by our partners in Germany, which offers the advantage of short response times. The design and process integration of all customer-specific individual components into the enclosures is carried out in our production facility in Germany. The ingress of dust, moisture or water jets is prevented by an all-round adhesive seal between the glass and the housing.

By producing in Germany, we are able to carry out comprehensive quality and functional testing of all touch systems directly in-house. We monitor the entire production process, from laminating the multi-touch foils onto the glass and bonding them into the housing to individually testing all electronic assemblies before delivery.
