Membrane and silicone keypads are used in most medical applications. They impress with their durability, easy disinfectability and, if required, antibacterial surface coatings and are therefore used particularly frequently in medical technology. The closed and easy-to-clean surfaces of membrane and silicone keyboards make them particularly suitable for use in sterile environments such as operating theaters, intensive care units and laboratories. One requirement for keyboards in medical technology is a high degree of protection. When installed, our silicone and membrane keyboards can have a degree of protection of IP65 and higher. For special applications, it is possible to integrate both pushbuttons with double switching function and touch functions using the OCA bonding process. These technologies offer product designers great freedom for customer-specific solutions in terms of shape, color, haptics and tactility.
